141 - Solomon and the queen of Sheba.

Kathleen's thoughts

1 Kings 9: 16-28 2 Chronicles 8: 4-18
1 Kings 10: 1-25 2 Chronicles 9: 1-19

Going back to lesson 132 Psalm 72:15 David's prayer for Solomon...May he live long! May gold from Sheba be given to him. May prayer be offered for  him continually, and may he be blessed all day long.
When I read this then I thought of Queen of Sheba. What did David know about this, it is as if he knew what was going to happen to Solomon.
Queen of Sheba came to Jerusalem with a very large retinue, with camels bearing spices, gold in great abundance, and precious stones.
I also find this amazing in how gold Solomon accumulated Queen of Sheba gave him 4 1/2 tons of gold Solomon's wealth  I stand in awe of it. Can you imagine the throne he made of Ivory and overlaid it with fine gold, the six steps was rounded at the top at the back of throne armrests on either side of the seat and two lions standing beside the armrests. Twelve lions were standing there on the six steps one at each end. Nothing like it had ever been made in any other kingdom.
Solomon's drinking cups were gold, and all the utensils of the House of the Forest of Lebanon were pure gold. There was no silver, since it was considered as nothing in Solomon's time.

King Solomon put together a fleet of ships at Ezion-geber near Eloth on the shore of the Red Sea in the land of Edom. So we can see here the Solomon gains prosperity as what his father spoke over him as well as God. because of Solomon asking God for wisdom and so God gave him wealth with the wisdom.

Blessings
Kathleen.
