Kathleen's thoughts

2 Chronicles 7: 1-3
When Solomon finished praying, fire descended from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the Lord filled the temple. The priests were not able to enter the Lord's temple because the glory of the Lord filled the temple of the Lord. All the Israelites were watching when the fire descended and the glory of the Lord came on the temple. They bowed down with their faces to the ground on the pavement. They worshiped and praised the Lord;
For He is good, for His faithful love endures forever.

Can you imagine seeing this, how awesome it must have been to witness the glory of the Lord descending over the Temple.

Then God warns Solomon if he does not obey his statues and commandments and go and serve other gods destruction will fall over Israel and the throne of David.

God said: 2 Chronicles 7: 19-22. However, if your turn away and abandon My statues and My commands that I have set before you and if you go and serve other gods and worship them, then I will uproot Israel from the soil that I gave them and this temple that I have sanctified for My name I will banish from My presence; I will make it an object of scorn and ridicule among all the peoples. As for this temple which was exalted, every passerby will be appalled and will say; Why did the Lord do this to the land and this temple? They will say because they abandoned the Lord God of their ancestors who brought them out of the land of Egypt. They clung to other gods and worshiped and served them Because of this He brought all this ruin on them

We wonder why today we have such turmoil in our countries. There are false gods being erected everywhere, people bowing down to them, kissing them and then ask why is there so much unrest?

Psalms 99: 1-9 God the supreme King
Psalm 110: 1-5  A hymn of praise

1 Kings (: 10-14 & 2 Chronicles 8: 1-2 Solomon and Hiram. He was the King of Tyre who supplied the cedar and cypress logs and gold 9,000 tons for his every wish.

1 Kings 9:24 Solomon wife's house. Solomon brought his wife from the city of David to the house he had built for her.

Song of Song 1: 1-17 Love's beginning.
The thought and contemplation. Another evidence of Salomon's wisdom was the fact that he had his priorities in the right order He built a house for God before he built one for himself. When we put God first, the He will take care of our needs.

Blessings
Kathleen.
