132 - David goes home to be with the Lord.

Kathleen's thoughts

1 Chronicles 29: 14 - 22
2Samuel 23: 1-7
1 Kings 1- 9, 2: 10

We have come to the end of king David's reign, a man after God.s own heart. I have learnt a lot about this man and how he walked in God's statues but at times failed just like us today, he had trouble with his children but he still loved them no matter what. He loved Israel and mostly he loved God and his praise and worship was continually on his lips through his Psalms. His desire for God's Holy place to be built which he saved up all the necessary building material and decoration right to the most finest of finest part. His instructions to Solomon in the plan was blessed and Solomon was anointed for the second time. Davids last words are found in 2 Samuel 23: 1-7 also known as "The favourite singer of Israel" Davids death is found in 1 Kings 2:10 and he was buried in the city of David.
1 Chronicles 29: 28-30 He died at a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour, and his son Solomon became king in his place. As for the events of King David's reign, from beginning to en, note that they are written about in the Events of Samuel the Seer, the events of Nathan the \Prophet, and the Events of Gad the Seer. along with all his reign his might, and the incidents that affected him and Israel and all the kingdoms of the surrounding lands.

Psalm 37 is one of my favourite Psalms and verse 4 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will grant you the desires of your heart.

Blessings
Kathleen.
