Firstly to say to those who are following this blog. I have been away from the PC for the past 5 days hence the falling behind. But I have been doing the reading and putting the pen to paper each day.
Deuteronomy 14,15,16,17
I find this book very interesting with all the instructions given to Moses by God. Imagine trying to keep all the law in your memory.
We as a nation are always questioning why is everything going so horrible wrong and one can understand why when you read God's word.
Deut 14 -2 You are sons of the Lord your God, do NOT cut yourselves - We are Holy people the Lord has chosen you to be His special people.
God once again reminds us of our dietary habits - A reminder DO NOT EAT THE BLOOD OF A ANIMAL
Do NOT boil a young goat in its mothers milk
Tithing -22- Each year you are to set aside a tenth of all your produce grown in your fields.
Duet 15 Speaks about debt. At the end of every 7th year you must cancel debts. When we do this we need to do it with a kind heart.
9. Be careful that there isn't a wicked thougtht in your heart.
11. You must willingly open your hand to your afflicted and poor brother in your land.
We can see here that God wants us to walk in love and have compassion for those who don't have.
Deut. 15 Release of the servants - law
Deut. 16 God speaks of the feasts - Passover Feasts of Booth.
Deut. 17 20 Here it tells us - Must not bow down to worship other God's - sun moon, stars GOD FORBIDS IT!
6) Execution of a person - to have 2 or 3 witnesses
1 Peter 2: 9 But you are a chosen race, a Royal priesthood a holy nation, a people for His possession so that you may proclaim the praises of the one who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.
